The Thing That Should Not Be

I mean, come on, I refuse to wear Iron Maiden t-shirts because I'd feel like an utter moron since I haven't heard any of their songs except "Fear of the Dark" and "The Flight of Icarus". I also don't wear Guns 'n' Roses t-shirts although they've been produced by Topshop for years now because I've only ever listened to "November Rain", "Mr Brownstone" and "My Michelle" properly.
Metallica's Symphony and Metallica album, however, was on my playlist for 3 months straight as I was studying for exams. I listened to them as I walked through Hyde Park, as I studied and as I slept (Linkin Park lulled me to sleep once upon a time many moons ago). And although I might be a new fan, at least when I wear their t-shirts (especially the 17-year-old vintage one I found on eBay), I don't feel like such a fool. Call me anal-with-a-stick-up-my-ass, but I am unashamedly so.
But really. I guess I don't look like much of a rocker/emo/metal head kinda person so the less informed stranger on the street would immediately assume that I've jumped on the rock-tshirt-donning bandwagon anyway.
Bah.
Roar!

My life these days can pretty much be summed up in the words of James Hetfield:
Seek. And. Destroy.
Okay, maybe not.
I'm just seeking to destroy my bank account by perpetually going on eBay instead of burying my nose in the books. But whatever, I like that song. Been looping it 24/7.
Also have been on frantic search for these shoes. Why, you ask? If you're looking to shut me up, then you can ask me why I want these shoes because I have no answer. I shall just ask you to look at them.

They sort of have an ethereal quality about them, don't they? It screams "WALK ME DOWN THE STREET LIKE A FUCKING SIZE ZERO MODEL". They begged to be worn and loved. Sob.
Mrm. I cannot believe she has it in three colours. Goddamn.
I walked into a 2nd hand bookshop today. It felt oddly familiar yet foreign. I shall post about more substantial issues when I'm not meant to be procrastinating.
You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet

'Til you've seen Metallica live.
True, I never really listened to them before this, but I don't care. Die hard Metallica fans can kill me but I am happy. You can shoot me and I will die and I won't come back to haunt you. I only have ever liked "Enter Sandman" and "Die, Die, My Darling" (as in, know lyrics inside out) but fuck that. Their stage presence is amazing. It's beyond words. I can finally use the word ineffable. James Hetfield knows how to control a ten thousand plus crowd, I have to say. He really does. My calves hurt like a bitch from all the incessant tiptoeing I've been doing to peer over the heads of many sweat drenched metalheads but I am pleased. Oh God I'm rambling.
I can't remember the last time I head banged like a fat shirtless man with multiple piercings. I believe I was fourteen and standing very, very far away from Linkin Park in the year 2003. God, that was classic. That was the beginning of one stage of my life. And this....
Wtf. This is only, like, the best thing ever.
